Don’t forget our presentation day will be held in Vincentia High School’s hall on Friday 2 December at 10.30am. We’re excited to come together to celebrate another amazing year and parents, family members and friends are more than welcome!

A permission note will be sent home shortly for you to sign and return, giving permission for your child to attend via bus. There will be no cost to parents.

Canteen

Today was another fantastic day in the canteen! Thank you Erin for volunteering a few hours to assist our canteen coordinator Carlyie. Please take note of the change in ordering, whereby snacks are to be purchased over the counter rather than including them on your written order on your lunch bag.

Our canteen will be open each Wednesday for the remainder of the term.

Have a great week,

Rod

LIBRARY NEWS

LIBRARY STOCKTAKE

This week is the last week of borrowing for the year. All books are due back next week (Week 7) ready for the annual library stocktake.

Thank you for your assistance in getting the books back on time.

BOOK COVERING

A HUGE thank you to Marci and Darnell for all your help covering books this year!

SRC - TALENT QUEST!

During the last week of Term 4 (Week 10), the SRC will be holding a ‘Tomerong’s Got Talent’, talent quest. Students who would like to perform are invited to start practising and thinking about their performance, either individually or in a small group. The acts will need to keep under 3 minutes so we ensure we have enough time to get through all acts.

In previous years we have had some amazing acts which included singing, dancing, comedy, musical instruments, magic tricks, hula hooping and short skits.

Please note that if any music is required it must be able to be found on ‘Spotify Kids & Family’ as the music will be played from this app.

The SRC will be taking names of students at LUNCHTIME, this Thursday and the act which they would like to perform, as well as the name of the song (if needed).

We are looking forward to a wonderful and fun, final SRC event for 2022!

ATTENDANCE MATTERS

PACER - Parliament and Civics Education Rebate

Students from our school have recently undertaken, an education tour of the national capital. Students were given the opportunity to participate in a variety of educational programs with a focus on Australia’s history, culture, heritage and democracy.

The Australian Government recognises the importance of all young Australians being able to visit the national capital as part of their Civics and Citizenship education. To assist families in meeting the cost of the excursion the Australian Government is contributing funding of $30 per student under the Parliament and Civics Education Rebate program towards those costs. The rebate is paid directly to the school upon completion of the excursion.
