The dreadful fire season we have experienced this year has highlighted the importance of being fully prepared for the bushfire season. We here at preschool have prepared for the fire season with bushfire drills, updating our supply boxes and reviewing our bushfire policy. We will continue with drills when the preschool year begins to ensure we are ready and organised should another emergency situation occur. We encourage our families to consider updating their own fire plans and familiarising yourselves with guidance provided by the RFS in relation to fire advisories. We also ask that you ensure that you have downloaded the Skoolbag app as this may be our primary form of communication should the telephone lines be clogged or not operational during an emergency.
Please consider downloading the Fires Near Me app if you have not already done so, for up to date information as well as following the Blue Mountains RFS Facebook pages for up to date information.
