Panania North Public School

Newsletter - 11th September 2020

Collaborative Cassie

Hey parents and carers, Collaborative Cassie here!

There are lots of ways you can be collaborative every day!

Over the next two weeks, your children will learn new ways that they can engage with others and collaborate together.

Please talk about how your children can be a Collaborative Cassie at school and at home over these next two weeks.

I can't wait to see and hear how you can be just like me!

Congratulations to our Panania North Public Speaking Winners!

Early Stage 1 - Ali A (Dolphins)

Stage 1 - Macy S (Barracudas)

Stage 2 - Daniel Z (Humpbacks)

Stage 3 - Bella W (Cuttlefish)

Unfortunately due to covid restrictions, the Metropolitan South Primary School Public Speaking Competition will not be held for ES1, S1 and S2.

Bella (S3) will be representing Panania North in the virtual competition  early next term.

Well done to all! We are extremely proud of your hard work and dedication.

Parent Teacher Phone Interviews

Information regarding Parent Teacher Phone Interviews was sent home on Monday this week.

Log into your Sentral Parent Portal to book. If you need an interpreter, let us know before the interview.

To help you get the most out of the interview we suggest you jot down any questions or comments you have before the interview. As each interview will only run for 10 minutes it is good to have a reminder if there are any points you wanted to raise.

If you require a longer time , please contact the school to arrange another time. As meeting times are booked in, teachers will need to keep to the time limit.

Bookings will be closed and finalised at 4pm this Sunday 13th September.

Class Hat Competition

As the weather is warming, it is a good time to remind our children to pack their hats in their bags each day and wear them out on the playground.

To encourage sun safety, each class has been given a poster to record how many children are wearing their school hat each day. The numbers will be tallied at the end of the week, with a secret surprise for the class who has the highest number of children wearing their hats over the week - this includes teachers too!!!

So remember to find and pack a school hat for Monday. A new school hat can be ordered online from the uniform shop at anytime and will be delivered to your child's class.

Advertisements - The school often publishes information on behalf of Community groups – parents need to decide the appropriateness of activities involving their child. It is the responsibility of each parent to research the bona fides of any organisation, in which you wish your child to be involved.
