Term 2 Week 4 2020

Principal's Report

We are so excited about the return to school of all students next week.

The return to full-time face-to-face teaching and learning from Monday 25th May is another indication that we are well on the way to getting back to ‘normal’ school operations.

While we are keen to resume teaching and learning activities, there are some activities we can not yet be involved in. There will be no incursions or excursions, no inter-school activities including sporting events and no activities requiring volunteers. I am hopeful that some of these restrictions will be eased by the beginning of next term.

ALL students are expected back at school unless they are unwell or have a medical certificate to support their absence.

Parents are required to drop and collect children at the school entrances, maintaining social distancing. If you need to enter the school grounds, please report to the front office where you will be greeted by our friendly staff. If collecting children from school during school hours, please DO NOT go directly to the classrooms. Office staff will collect children for you.

Students should continue to bring refillable water bottles from home.

PLEASE keep your child at home if they are unwell.

We have ample supplies of soap, hand sanitiser, paper towel and toilet paper. The health and safety of your children is a priority. Please be reassured that all school activities will be in line with NSW Health advice and guidelines. I am confident that enhanced hygienic cleaning processes, along with standard daily cleaning will continue to provide a safe environment for students and staff.

Teaching and support staff are excited to have students return to school full-time and resume the important business of learning! THANK YOU parents and carers for the wonderful support and patience you have shown during this unprecedented crisis. As always, we are here to answer your questions and support your child's return to school.

Back to School Week 5

From Monday 25 May, it is expected all students will return to school full-time for face-to-face learning.

All school activities and operations will be in line with AHPPC guidelines and NSW Health advice. Therefore we still cannot welcome parents onto the school grounds. If you do need to come to school for any reason, please ensure you see the ladies in the front office where they can handle your enquiry.

Students are required to be at school unless:

  • They are unwell.
  • They have a medical condition which requires them to stay at home. (Medical certificate required)
  • They are residing with a family member who identifies in the increased risk category. (Written confirmation from the treating health professional that the student is unable to attend school is required)
