Please advise me ASAP if your child WILL NOT be attending so we can offer the place to a reserve. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me.
Athletics Carnivals
Our NEDSSA Carnival will be held at the Miling Town Oval on Friday 27th of August 2021. Our Interschool Athletics Carnival will be held on Friday 10th of September at Moora Town Oval. Parents of children selected in the interschool team will be responsible for transporting students to and from Moora for this event.
Athletics Training
We start our Faction Carnival training this week and in light of the number of athletic skills to cover we are in need of parent help. Our trainings go from 1:40pm till 3.00pm on Friday afternoons. If you are able to assist with training, please contact me as soon as possible. Training will occur at School, (not the oval as in previous years)
Dental Van
The Dental Van is BACK!!!! Please make sure forms are returned TOMORROW if one was sent home to you last week. Students who have been to the van previously didn’t get a form. The Dental Van staff will contact you directly to arrange appointment times.
School Development Day
Wednesday 25th August 2021 is a School Development Day, so students will not attend school on this day.
Assembly
Our next Assembly is on Thursday 19th August at 2.30pm.
Talking with our school
As a parent or carer you play a vital role in your child’s learning. Building a positive relationship between home and school plays an important part in the education of your child. Effective communication is the key to the success of this relationship. We love to hear the positives about how our school is going as well as letting us know when you have any concerns or an enquiry
Discuss your enquiry or concern with the class teacher first if it is about your child’s:
- academic progress
- general behaviour
- homework
- assessment
- attendance
- social or emotional wellbeing.
In your discussion with the teacher:
- give all relevant information
- discuss all possible outcomes for addressing your enquiry/ concern
- settle on an option that can be achieved with input from you, the teacher and your child.
Please remember we are here to work with you for the best outcomes for your children.
