Stage 3 Sentral Parent Portal
Families who have a child/ren in Stage 3 (years 5 and 6) were sent home notes that detailed how to create an account and download the Sentral Parent Portal App. The App will ensure that all communication is streamlined and private. It also enables parents to submit absence data through the app. We are watching and ticking off the families that have signed up and over the next couple of weeks will begin to make calls to help those who haven’t signed up create an account. If you would like any assistance or a copy of the note please contact the school office.
We are endeavoring to get all Stage 3 families on before the end of this term so that in Week 1 of Term 3, we can commence with the Stage 2 families. I appreciate that having an extra app and following the steps may be difficult, as it is quite secure and will require a two-step process but communication with families in a secure and streamlined way is of the utmost importance.
Dance
Last Tuesday, I had the pleasure of watching close to 40 students perform at the Southern Tablelands Dance Festival as part of the Goulburn South Dance Group. The night was a great success and we are all very proud of each student for their dedication and effort, with many students performing on such a large stage in front of a sold out auditorium for the first time. A lot of time and effort went on behind the scenes in preparation and organization of the night and I would like to extend a very special thank you to Mrs C and Ms Weeks for their efforts.
Reports
Semester 1 reports are scheduled to be sent home as a hardcopy on Thursday 30 July. Families who are set up on the parent portal may also receive the report electronically through the app. The report will detail what students have learnt over the semester, their achievement and detail ‘where to next’. Students who have been a part of the COVID Intensive Learning Support Program (COVID ILSP) will also receive an additional report page detailing their progress from the program.
I am looking forward to Monday’s official mural opening and hope to be able to see you all at 9.20am in the school hall with our students, followed by a morning tea.
Kind regards,
Emily Osborne
