Term 4 Week 9 eNewsletter

The end of Year Presentation Day is upon us! We hope to see you all at Mount View High School Hall on Friday 13th December at 11:30am where we can celebrate a fantastic 2019. Students should attend school as normal and will be transported by bus to MVHS. Students who are not collected by their parents from the hall will return to school on the bus.

Next week we have:

Talent Quest on Monday 16th December 11:30-1pm (please note the change of date)
Swimming Carnival on Tuesday 17th December.
Year 6 Clap Out on Wednesday 18th December at 2:45pm.

I wish all of our departing Year 6 students all the best for the next chapter in their lives. They are well prepared for High School and we know they will continue to be amazing students. Thank you for your learning and laughter at EPS over the last 7 years.

On behalf of the school, I wish all our families a safe and happy holiday break. Enjoy your time with your families and friends. We look forward to seeing you all back at our great little school on Wednesday 29th January and welcoming our new Kindergarten students on Monday 3rd February.

Farewell Year 6!

Miss Logan-Pye organised an amazing night to commemorate the Year 6 Farewell last night. Everyone had a great night! The Year 6 students enjoyed food, dancing and games, along with the formal speeches of the evening.

We wish Year 6 all the best and thank Miss Logan-Pye for her great efforts organising such a good night.

P&C Car Boot and Stall Day

The Ellalong Car Boot and Stall Day was successful day, however it did not generate as much interest from the school community as we would have hoped. We have learnt a lot and hope to hold another event next year. Thank you to everyone who was able to hold a stall or come along.

Thank you to Luke C, Frith B, Adam F, Kylie H, Bill I and Cassie P-P who went to amazing lengths to coordinate this school and community building event.

MVHS Enrichment Class in 2020

Congratulations to Olivia S, Lillian M, Tara H and Tori F who have achieved selection in the MVHS academic enrichment class for 2020. This is a great achievement and we are very proud of you!

Woolworths Junior Landcare Grant

Congratulations to Mrs Miller and the Gardening Team who have successfully applied for the Woolworth Junior Landcare Grant, worth $1000.

Funds will go towards our school vegetable gardens, with students learning about sustainable food production, food waste, life cycles and food preparation throughout the year.

Thanks to Charene and Scott from Woolworths Cessnock who came to visit our great little school and share this exciting news.

Music Bus

We are excited to announce that we have two Music Bus Programs commencing in 2020!

There two sessions, held on Monday mornings commencing on Monday 3rd February. Session one, starting at 7:45am will be for drums. Session 2, starting at 8:20am, will be for keyboard / guitar.

Thank you to everyone who returned their expression of interest forms. If you would like to get involved, it is not too late. You can get in touch with the Music Bus (via their website) to join.

Talent Quest - Monday 16th December 11:30 to 1pm

The end of year Talent Quest will be held on Monday 16th December from 11.30am -1.00pm. Please note the change of date.

We will also hand out any final assembly and reading awards at that time.
