Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Thank you for your continuous support, patience and understanding during this time of uncertainty. It has been an extremely busy time for schools. We have been faced with many changes and new learning with very little warning. I am exceptionally impressed with the way our staff have responded to this situation and the perseverance demonstrated by all. Everyone has remained positive and have adjusted in a calming manner. Well done to everyone!
I would like to take this opportunity to thank our teachers and students for their remarkable work. Our teachers and SSOs have been working extremely hard to ensure that they are well prepared for Blended Learning to take place in Term Two. We have ensured that EVERY student will receive quality learning regardless of whether they will be at school or learning from home.
Learning Packs have been organised for families who don't have access to internet. Classes will also be operating through EDMODO as this is our online learning platform. The Department for Education (DfE) have also developed the Our Learning SA online resource for families to access https://www.education.sa.gov.au/our-learning-sa (Continued learning between school and home). We understand that every family situation is different and here at Virginia PS, we will continue to support all our families in anyway possible.
Please do not hesitate to reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns about your child's learning. We are all in this together and are here for one another.
I am also extremely proud of our students with the way they have adapted with the changes that have taken place over the last few weeks. It must be extremely tough on them missing out on spending time with their friends and teachers, however we must remember that it is for everyone's well-being.
Our school remains open and we will continue to follow the Department and SA Health's advice. I thank you all for your support and understanding. I can't thank you enough.
It is an absolute privilege to work in a school that continues to remain tight-nit and supportive of one another.
Wishing you all a safe Easter break with loved ones and friends (through face time).
