Safe Respectful Learners

Term 4 Week 7 eNewsletter

We have had an eye on the future over the last few weeks, and have some planning well underway for 2020. I thank everyone who completed the Tell Them from Me survey (TTFM) as we use this information to inform our priorities and progress. It has been pleasing to see a large improvement in focus areas, including 'parents feel welcome', 'parents are informed', 'school supports learning' and 'safety at school' responses. I will send home a more detailed explanation of the responses over the next week. Thank you for helping make our school better!

We look forward to seeing you at the Car Boot and Stall Day on Saturday 30th November! We have over 20 stalls confirmed and look forward to seeing you there! You will be able to grab a bite to eat, purchase your child's artwork, see the Quorrobolong Fire Brigade truck, get your face painted and purchase some great Christmas gifts. We hope to see you, your friends and neighbours at our great little school then!

Science and Engineering Discovery Day

What a fantastic and engaging day the 15 students experienced at the Science and Engineering Challenge Discovery Day held on Thursday 21st November in Maitland. We managed to build a bridge that finished in 3rd place. We built objects that had to stand the earthquake machine, learn and apply codes to switch on lights and construct moon buggy’s that had to travel over a Mars landscape. We strengthened our knowledge and skills of cooperation, patience and team building to succeed in tasks. A big thank you to our parents for driving us to Maitland so we could experience this day and maybe one day have a career in engineering. We combined with Telarah PS and we finished 7th overall. Some pictures of our great day out are below.
