From the Principal

Dear Parents and Carers,

Our first full week for term 2 has been a very busy one.   NAPLAN online assessments began on Tuesday, our school leadership team and student leaders have both attended leadership conferences in Ballarat.  We have our Moyne Cross Country and Soccer competitions coming up on Friday.

I'd like to personally thank the Parents and Friends committee and the Year 1 parent representatives for the successful Mother's Day Breakfast. It was great to see some dad's serving in the kitchen too.  It was wonderful to see so many mums and grandmothers enjoying one another's company.  I've been told it was the biggest crowd that this school has seen, which just indicates how keen we all are to reconnect with one another.

We are experiencing quite a few COVID cases within the school.  Please remember that close household contact need to wear a mask if they attend school or work.

Kind regards,

Olga Lyons, Principal

Learning and Teaching

NAPLAN 2022

Online NAPLAN testing sessions began on Tuesday with writing and reading on Wednesday.  We are very proud of the way our year 3 & 5 students have confidently approached the assessments.  This can be attributed to the preparation and practice sessions in previous weeks.  It was important for them to become familiar with the online platform.

The online NAPLAN assessments are adaptive which gives us more scope to accurately determine their academic abilities.

Conventions of Language, spelling and numeracy will be assessed next week.
