Welcome to Week 9 Term 2.

Athletics Carnival

Thank you to Mr Powell and his team for such a wonderful Athletics Carnival. The weather was perfect adding to the success of the day. Congratulations to all our students for their excellent behaviour and good luck to the students who have made it through to the Zone Carnival.

Girls’ Soccer

Congratulations to our amazing Girls’ Soccer team who had a win today against Charlestown South Public School and have made it through to the next round of the PSSA competition! We are all very proud of your achievement.

2023 Kindergarten Enrolments

We are now taking enrolments for kindergarten 2023. If you know of families in our Caves Beach zone who have a child starting Kindergarten next year, please advise them to enrol online or contact our school office to start the enrolment process. It is imperative that we have our Kindergarten numbers as early as possible to allow our planning for classes K-6 for the following year.

I have just completed the task of reading and signing Semester 2 student reports. I am very pleased and proud of all the students at Caves Beach Public School. Not only are you all working towards and achieving your learning goals, you are consistently demonstrating our school values. Well done!

When 5/6J get a camera and a green screen, anything can happen. Whether it's playing for Australia, putting on smooth moves, becoming a teletubbie or a famous sportsperson - there are blob fish, haunted houses, Minecraft images, surfers, loungers, groovers and relaxers - we've got it all going on.

This week our Multicultural Public Speaking representatives will video and submit their speeches in the Multicultural Public Speaking Competition. Congratulations on your hard work and preparation Nahla D and Samantha K from Stage 3, and Kenzie W from Stage 2.

Our Stage ‘Speak Offs’ will be held this Thursday.

Well done to Rose S & Dylan I who competed in Regional Cross Country last week.

Congratulations to Rose who qualified for State! 

It was the perfect day for our Athletics Carnival last week!

Congratulations to all the students who participated in the events and races and even received a ribbon for 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th.

Thank you to our parents for attending, it was wonderful to have you back onsite. Thank you also to our teachers who made sure the day ran smoothly. A special thank you to Mr Powell for his tireless effort putting the carnival together - it was a fantastic event!

Normal rehearsals are as follows:

Junior band - Tuesday and Thursday morning 8.15am - 9.am

Senior Band - Wednesday and Friday Mornings 8am - 9am .

NOTE: All band rehearsals are now held in the music room.

Term 2 Statement of Fees – now due 

     Senior Band- $65 

     Junior Band - $55 

Sibling Discount  

1st child – full fee. 2nd, 3rd. 4th - $5 discount per term per child 

In addition to this, any child who joins a second or third band- 50% off the additional group (children starting a second instrument).

There are so many great titles on the PRC lists. Don’t forget to check them out!

August 19 2022: Closing date for students from Years 3 to 6 to log books on their PRC Reading Record.

The P&C Fundraising Committee is hoping to provide some quality, locally sourced gifts for the Father's Day Stall this year and we need your help. 

If you have any great ideas, or know of any businesses who would be happy to sell us gifts for the stall, please let us know 😊
