Term 3, Week 1

Welcome to Term 3

It was lovely to see our students on Monday and hear about their holidays and how they are now ready for their Term 3 learning.  On Monday I visited all classrooms and it was lovely to see students and teachers transition quickly back into learning.  One classroom was discussing the question/prompt, "What is better, school or holidays?"   Students shared their point of view and provided persuasive statements along with evidence for their reasoning.  Hearing each student share and justify their  point of view was a joy to observe.   I am delighted to share with you that the group of participants that believed "School is better than the holidays" was much larger!

This term auditioning, creating and practicing begins for the Production at the end of the term.  The Production Committee has been planning since the start of the year and are well prepared for the excitement and fun to come!

During the holiday period the new Security / Access system was installed.  I am very thankful to the Department for Education for their support of this project - installation and funding.  In 2019 The Department completed an inspection and review of our school  and determined the need for the upgrade.  The Roof Upgrade project is soon to go to tender and I am hopeful that this works will start and be completed in the next holidays.

We are looking forward to a wonderful term of learning.

Kind Regards
