Dear parents and carers,
Parent / Teacher Interviews –
The Parent / Teacher meetings are going to be held on Tuesday 18 August (9am – 4:30pm) and Wednesday 19 August (1:30pm – 4:30pm). The details of the online booking system were emailed to you yesterday and the interviews are open for bookings. Once you have booked in your time, your child’s teacher will schedule WebEx meetings with you via email. In the case where you have internet connectivity issues, the teacher will arrange an alternative such as a phone conversation. If you did not receive the booking email, please contact the front office on macedon.ps@education.vic.gov.au
There is also a link further on in the newsletter with the details.
Bookings close on Thursday 13th at 6:00pm
Sex Education Australia (SEA) Year 3-6
This year we engaged an external provider to deliver a comprehensive and age appropriate health and human development education program for our year 3-6 students. The program will include multiple sessions for our students as well as a parent information session. Unfortunately, the program has been postponed for this term due to the stage three lock down. We are in discussions about dates that could work in term four but we will have to see how things unfold before we make this decision. We will keep you posted.
COVID-19 testing
Please continue to keep yourselves safe and get tested if you have symptoms. If you take your children to get tested, please inform the school of your results. This is particularly important if you, your children or other family members receive a positive test result. There are specific safety processes that need to be enacted if we have a “confirmed positive case of COVID-19” or a “confirmed close contact of a positive COVID-19 case”. There is starting to be a growing number of secondary contacts popping up throughout the Macedon Ranges, ie a close contact of a close contact. At this stage there is no further action that you need to take if this is you unless you have symptoms, whereby you need to go and get tested.
Stay well,
Matthew Forrest
