Houses and Colours

Houses: Every student is placed into one of four houses.

Reynell (Green), Liston (Blue), Hardy (Yellow), Booth (Red).

All students should be in the same house as their siblings.

What to wear: Students are encouraged to wear their team colours (eg coloured t-shirt, ribbon or streamers) and ensure that clothing is sun safe and appropriate for active participation. Thongs, sandals and slip-on scuffs are not practical for sporting activities. Tops need to have sleeves, midriffs need to be covered and no short-shorts please. All students must wear their regular school hats (legionnaire, wide brim or bucket). Coloured hair and coloured zinc cream is permitted, but must be applied at home.

Our fundraising committee will open the Oval Canteen for drinks and snacks for PARENTS/ADULTS ONLY:

  • Bradleys Bakery Donuts
  • Dulwich Bakery  Cookies
  • Red Rock Chips
  • Bottled Water

Our canteen will also have an EFPTOS machine for your convenience.

PARENT LUNCH - parents can order Balfour's pastries on Qkr, but orders will close at 9am Wednesday 17 March.
If you have other family members attending, please ask them if they'd like to order lunch. We will have a few spare pastries, but not a lot.

All pastries are $5 each plus 50 cents for tomato sauce.

Balfours Pastries: Beef Pie, Bakehouse Potato Pie, Chicken & Vegetable Pie, Curried Lentil & Potato Pie (vegan), Sausage Roll, Premium Vegetable Pasty (vegetarian).

Parent Qkr lunches can be picked up from the Oval Canteen from 12:30. If you'd like your lunch earlier than that, just go to the canteen and ask them to put your order in the pie warmer, it will take about 1/2 hour to heat up.

The Coffee Guy will be on-site for hot and cold drinks from 8:30am (he will make a donation to our fundraising).

Parents cannot use the school canteen during student break times, but they are welcome to use it outside of break times.

School Canteen for students - students can visit the school canteen (not the Oval Canteen) to purchase drinks and snacks at recess and lunch time, just like they do on a normal school day.

NB. students will not be served at the Oval Canteen.

To avoid congestion and prevent students waiting in a busy line at the school canteen, we ask all parents/visitors to use the oval canteen. However, if you would like to purchase other snacks from the school canteen, please visit outside of recess and lunch breaks.

Parents/Visitors are also welcome to order lunch from the normal menu on Qkr through a student profile before 9:00am on Sports Day.

EASTER RAFFLE Our very popular annual Easter Raffle is almost ready to go. There are 15 prizes, the first 3 will be displayed on Sports Day and you will also be able to purchase tickets on the day. NB. All families will receive their own Raffle Book on Wednesday via their youngest child.

CAN YOU HELP? If you can help on the day for a 1/2 hour time slot in the Oval Canteen please let us know by emailing dl.0379.finance@schools.sa.edu.au

Age Groups

Students are split into their age groups depending on the year they are born, not their age at the time of Sports Day. This is how SAPSASA Athletics trials run and we use the same format for our Sports Day.

First place in selected events (80m, 200, high jump, shot put, long jump and discus) for the U/10s, U/11s, U/12s and U/13s can all qualify for SAPSASA.

The age groups work as follows:

·         2013 = U/8s (only 2013 born students in Year 3 participate)

·         2012 = U/9s

·         2011 = U/10s

·         2010 = U/11s

·         2009 = U/12s

·         2008 = U/13s

We have split the U/9s and U/11s groups into boys and girls as they are very large groups.
