All schools are guided by the Department of Education NSW’s guidelines. Currently we have been directed to monitor students and staff who have flu like symptoms. If a student or staff displays these symptoms at school, contact parents and carers to collect their child or children and seek medical assistance either through a Covid test or doctor’s examination. If your child is absent without an explanation an email will be sent via Operoo requesting the reason why. Dont forget that your can use the Skoolbag app absent notifications to advise a students absence.
Staffing
Working with the Department of Education NSW’s guidelines, any staff who displays Flu like symptoms at school are to seek medical assistance either through a Covid test or doctor’s examination. Staff are directed to not attend school and seek medical assistance. Please understand that securing casual staff has been challenging when permanent staff are sick and are offsite. Every effort is made to secure casual staff however, every other school across the state is in the same situation which has put enormous pressure on attaining and securing casuals. At times, students will need to be split into other classes and within Covid-19 guidelines.

School Planning - 2021-2024 - Tell Them From Me survey, Situational Analysis and Vision
We thank families for their recent feedback and input into our situational analysis via the Tell Them from Me survey. We value input from all areas of the school community and, as part of our process for developing our situational analysis, we have received feedback from parents/carers, students and staff. Feedback is an important part of determining our future directions so that we can provide the best possible education for your children.
We will keep you updated with our school planning process.
Selective High School Placements
Selective high schools cater for academically gifted students with high potential who may otherwise be without sufficient classmates at their own academic standard. Selective high schools help these students to learn by grouping them with students of similar ability, and by using specialised teaching methods.
Applications for selective high school placement are considered mainly on the basis of the Selective High School Placement Test results and school assessment scores. The Selective High School Placement Test will be held on Thursday 11 March 2021.
If you would like to have your child considered for Year 7 selective high school entry in 2022, you need to apply on the internet using a valid email address (not the student’s email address).
Detailed instructions on how to apply online are available at the link below: https://education.nsw.gov.au/public-schools/selective-high-schools-and-opportunity-classes/updates
The application website opens at that link on the 13th of October 2020 and closes on the 16th of November 2020. You must apply before the closing date. There are no paper application forms. If you do not have internet access, you could apply at a public library. If you have a disability that prevents you from using a computer, you can contact the High Performing Students Team for assistance after the 13th of October 2020.
