District Cross Country

Congratulations to each of our 48 students who attended the District Cross Country carnival last Friday.

It was unfortunate that the ongoing wet weather resulted in the event becoming a non-spectator event, but we hope you enjoy the photos included in the newsletter. Mr Munn proudly spoke of how beautifully behaved our students were throughout the day.

A special congratulations to Archie, Lailani and Luke who qualified and are off to the Regional carnival on Friday 10 June.

Student Reports

Each student will receive their Semester 1 report on Friday 24 June (Week 9). As we held parent/teacher interviews during Term 1, we will not be hosting formal interviews again this term, although, if you would like to discuss your child's progress at school at any time, please make contact to organise a suitable time.

Enrolments for Kindergarten 2023

It is that time already to be looking ahead into 2023 and enrolments for Kindergarten are open! If you are seeking a placement for your child, please make contact with our office so we can begin the process. If you know of anyone who resides within our local zone and is not currently connected to our school, please encourage them to make contact with us.

Have a great week,

ONYX

"Hello! My name is Onyx. I have a big sister at this school.

At school, I like playing on the Lego table and handwriting.

At home, I like playing on the trampoline with my sister. We like to put water and soap on our trampoline and jump on it. I am really good at doing front flips. I also like playing Minecraft and going to swimming lessons.

When I grow up, I would like to be a Lego Master."

P.S.S.A District Cross Country Carnival

Last Friday’s District Cross Country was a terrific day and I was extremely proud of our Tomerong team. Our students displayed excellent manners and fantastic sportsmanship throughout the day. It was great to see the students supporting and encouraging each other during the events.

Congratulations to Archie, Lailani and Luke who qualified for the Regional carnival. These students will now represent the Shoalhaven area and we wish them all the best at Willandra on Friday 10 June.

Just a reminder that tomorrow, Thursday 2 June, the SRC are holding  a ‘Footy Colours Day’ fundraiser.

You are invited to come dressed in your favourite football team’s colours or jersey. You can also wear your favourite soccer, netball or other sport teams colours or jersey if you prefer.

Please bring a gold coin donation on the day.

All funds raised will be donated to children with cancer to assist them with education support programs, which helps their learning while they receive and recover from treatment.

We look forward to a fun day, raising money for a great cause!

Wonder Recycling Rewards Competition

Our school is participating in the Wonder Recycling Rewards Competition. If possible, please save your bread bags and send them into school. Classes are collecting bread bags so that we can earn lots of points. The more bread bags we have, the more points we get! The more points we get, the more sports equipment we can buy! It is also a great way to reduce landfill, recycle and help the environment.
