HAPPY GRANDPARENTS DAY

To all BPS Grandparents, Happy Grandparents Day for yesterday, Sunday 8th September. BPS staff and students hope that you enjoyed our special showcase on Friday 6th September, put together just for you!!!!

4/5 Pandanus / Years 3-6 Supervision

As from this Friday, 13th September until Monday 14th October Mrs Katrina Jeffery will be the relieving teacher for 4/5 Pandanus whlist Mrs Alyson McIntyre is on leave.

During this time Stage 2 & 3 (Years 3, 4, 5 & 6) will be supervised by Mrs Renae Brookes, who will be working closely with students in Stages 2 & 3.

2020 Enrolment Intentions

While this year hasn’t finished our planning has commenced for 2020.

If you anticipate moving schools in the new year or know of anyone planning on joining the BPS community next year please let Ms Robinson in the front office know as soon as possible. 2020 student numbers will directly determine 2020 classes, teacher placement and school support.

Jump Rope for Heart kicks off this term!

We’re skipping through the term!

Jump Rope for Heart is well underway and it’s great to see so many children out in the playground skipping with smiles on their faces. Bogangar Public School has already raised $1250.

It’s not long until our Jump Off Day on Friday 20th September so keep on practicing those tricks! And don’t forget to share your online fundraising page with friends and family to raise money for a great cause! Still need to sign up online? It’s easy just follow this link and enter your details.

Grandparents/Grandfriends Day at BPS

Last Friday BPS students and their Grandparents/Grandfriends gathered together for Grandparents Day, students showcased a range of performances they have been working on during the year for our Grandparents/Grandfriends, with many activities in the classrooms.


Kindy and Year 2 - Dentist Feedback

Northern New South Wales Local Health District (NNSWLHD), Oral Health Services would like to express our appreciation for your participation in the Kindergarten and Year 2 Oral Health Program.

This Program is designed to promote positive oral health messages, encourage lifelong oral health and inform parents of the free oral health service available to them.

·         Northern NSW Local Health District Oral Health Service conducted 2 oral health promotion sessions to Kinder and Year 2 classes. The children were all given a toothbrush to take home. We aim for this to stimulate discussion and establish good oral health habits at home.

·         We conducted 57 dental assessments.

·         Any child under the age of 18 is able to access free dental services, eligibility is Medicare Card only.

·         Dental Clinics in Northern NSW Local Health District are located in Tweed Heads, Pottsville, Byron Bay, Ballina, Goonellabah, Nimbin, Casino, Coraki, Grafton and Yamba.
