Who can believe we are in Week 5 already!
Time is flying by and our term is certainly ramping up. Tomorrow we will be running our annual athletics carnival. While the weather is not ideal, we are lucky enough to have access to an all weather track at Beaton Park. The weather is meant to hold out for tomorrow. We will have a modified schedule as the centre of the field is closed. This means that the throwing events will not be held tomorrow. We will still be competing in high jump, long jump, all running races and some novelty events. It will be a great day. Please ensure the students have everything they need for the day.
This week our students have completed their entries for the Operation Art competition. These were voted on by staff and the winning entries from each stage are being sent off for further judging. I congratulate all our students on the wonderful artworks they have produced. We are creating a display of these in the foyer at the car park entrance to the building over the coming week. We also wish our entrants the very best of luck!
To show we are one as a school and to affirm the sense of belonging in our students, it is important for all children to be wearing our school uniform. I understand that this can be challenging with the weather getting colder, however, it is important that students are wearing green jumpers with their school shirt and green track pants during the week with black shorts/pants on Fridays. If you are finding it difficult to afford a uniform, please contact the office for support.
