Welcome Back
It is wonderful to now have our Years 3 to 6 students back with us. Everyone seems happy to be back at school and to be catching up with their teachers and friends face to face.
I remind you of the health and safety measures we have put in place:
Practising good hand hygiene with students washing their hands before and after each learning block and before and after eating
Enhanced cleaning of high contact surfaces throughout the school day and at the end of the day
Restricted movement of students between classes
Washing of playground equipment throughout the day
School staff observing physical distancing
Cancellation of all off-site activities such as camps, excursions, sporting activities
Access to the school limited to essential staff and services
Staggered dismissal to avoid large gatherings of adults at the front of the school.
These arrangements will remain in place for at least the remainder of this term. We await further direction as to whether there may be changes for the start of Term 3.
Cancellation of Pupil-free Days
On our calendar we had two pupil-free days scheduled for Thursday 6th and Friday 7th August. These days were to be staff development days. In light of the pandemic and uncertainty surrounding gatherings and travel, it has been decided to cancel these dates. We are looking to reschedule with a one day staff development activity in Term 4, possibly in November. You will be notified of this date early next term.
Uniform
As students return to school, they should be wearing their winter uniform. Please ensure your children have the correct uniform including footwear.
Enrolments 2021
The period for accepting enrolments for our 2021 Foundation classes closes on Friday 19th June. If you know of a family considering enrolling their child at St Patrick’s, please direct them to our website or to call the school for information.
Kind regards,
Peter Sanderson
