St Anne's News

Reflection

This Sunday is Palm Sunday. Palm Sunday commemorates the entrance of Christ into Jerusalem, when palm branches were placed in his path, before his arrest on Holy Thursday and his crucifixion on Good Friday. It thus marks the beginning of Holy Week, the final week of Lent.

Greg's Message

Dear Parents and Friends of St Anne’s

Our annual twilight sports was once again a huge success. The children’s skill, determination, teamwork and awareness was highly visible, leading to a highly enjoyable evening. Many thanks to the staff, led by Josh Cassell, for their wonderful support of this time honoured event. Once again we had an excellent turnout of spectators, consisting of parents, siblings, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends and former students and parents. Special thanks to those people who assisted at the sports, with food, drinks and raffle tickets. This is the final newsletter of the term. I would like to thank the students, staff and parents for another wonderful term of learning, growth and fun. I wish everyone a happy and safe Easter. See you all on Monday 24 April at 8:55am.

Scholastic  Book  Fair

The 2023 Scholastic Book Fair is scheduled for term 2 and is a much anticipated event on our school calendar. The book fair will start with previews on Thursday 11 May, where students will compile their wish lists of purchases. Sales will occur that afternoon and continue before & after school through to Tues 16th May (am). Arrangements regarding sale times will be announced next term as a team of volunteer helpers will be required to assist with processing payments.  We are seeking a volunteer coordinator to liaise with Lisa Redmond in the library, and to organize for helpers to assist with the sales.  Can one of our parent representatives fulfill this role or any other enthusiastic member of our parent community?
Please contact Lisa at lredmond@sannkewe.catholic.edu.au if you can help.
