Welcome to our Week 8 Newsletter.
We have so much to look forward to over the next few weeks as we celebrate and acknowledge the tremendous effort that all of our students have put in to their learning this year.
Please keep an eye on our What’s On post on Facebook each Sunday at 12.00pm to make sure you don’t miss out. Dates are also found in the calendar below.
Congratulations to all of our K-2 cross country runners. What fabulous weather we (finally!) had for the event. We were so thrilled to see so many able to join us for the carnival.
Staffing News
Welcome back Mrs Mazloum! We are so happy to see Mrs Mazloum back at Hammondville following her maternity leave. She will work with K/1 Green now that Mrs Elliott has started her maternity leave.
I am thrilled to inform our community that Mrs Emma Johnson has been appointed in the relieving Assistant Principal, Curriculum & Instruction role while Mrs Murray relieves as Principal at Newbridge Heights next year. Mrs Johnson has significant experience in curriculum design and differentiation and will lead the professional learning in curriculum for our team.
Also returning to our team in the new year will be Miss Liana Harrison who will return from maternity leave, and Ms Michelle Hansell who is returning from a career development opportunity at Kirrawee High School.
Miss Lauren Jenkins will be taking leave next year to travel. We will miss her smiling face welcoming our kinder parents each morning and the wonderful relationships she builds. Miss Jenkins, we hope you have a fabulous time and we look forward to having you back with us in 2024.
Congratulations also to Mrs Rebecca Webb who was successful in gaining a classroom teacher position much closer to home at Mt Annan Public School. We have huge shoes to fill with Mrs Webb spreading her wings. We look forward to hearing about her fabulous impact at MAPS! How lucky they are!
Hammondville Carols
Our whole Hammondville team is really looking forward to holding our dearly missed Carols on Friday 9 December. It is going to be quite the event. All of our families are invited to attend and join in our celebration. Bring along a picnic rug and enjoy the evening with us. The gates will open at 6pm, with food trucks ready to serve at this time. Our choir will be on stage to get us started from 6.45pm.
We are looking forward to each class and each dance group performing, in addition to our choir and a very special guest.
Please keep an eye out for information from the P&C about seating organisation for the evening.
Supervision of students is the responsibility of parents and families. We ask that all our families please follow the instructions from our P&C to ensure the safety and enjoyment for all.
Tickets are available from the MySchoolConnect app, with wristbands being delivered to students before the event.
Looking forward to seeing many of our families up at our school for different events over the next 2 weeks.
