We all need more sleep! Life is busy and there are so many priorities. I’ve attached a few resources on sleep. Hopefully they can be helpful in understanding the benefits of sleep for our physical and mental wellbeing.

Congratulations to the following Year 4 students who participated in the Sacrament of Reconciliation for the first time on the 30th March, at the end of last term. They were unable to make their Reconciliation in Year 3 due to COVID restrictions but they are now preparing for their First Holy Communion.
May we, as a community, keep these children in our prayers as they journey towards another important step in our faith:
Bronti, Annalise, Connor, Luke, Olivia, Alexia, Brodie, Isabella, Charlotte, Emma, Harper, Kade, Caitlyn, Nadim, Ruby, Angelica, Elijah, Allenth, Chayse, Yavniel, Riley, Noah, Johan, Indiana, Lucas, Nachelle, Sullivan, Christian, Orlando, Marley, Liam, Nikayla-May, Kaitlyn, Dominik, Travis, Noah, Gavin, Lorenzo, Linde, Natalya, Matteo, Cherlin, Jayden, Marcus, Hannah, Caitlin Marie, Stephanie, Madison, Benjamin, Sharlet, Alexander, Emily, Katrina.
A very big thank you to our Mary Immaculate community for your support of our Project Compassion Day at the end of Term 1.
Our total donations to Caritas came to $1300- this amount of money can provide education assistance to secondary schools in our most needy regions around the world.
I am so proud of our Stage 3 (Year 5 and 6 students) who led the call to reach out this Lent and promote this worthy cause to our community and Parish.
Our Mary Immaculate community gathered for two very special events during Week 1.
On Wednesday we held our ANZAC Day commemoration that was led by our Year 6 leaders and Mrs. Cauchi.
On Friday we held our Easter Sunday Mass celebration in the Church led by Father Oliver and the Kindergarten team and students.
It has been so wonderful to be together as a family again.
“The Body of Christ” and we look forward to this Friday’s Mother’s Day Mass and sharing this occasion with our MIPS families.

Good luck to our team of students who have made it through to run at Diocesan Cross Country on Tuesday 3rd of May .
Wishing them a wonderful day with great weather hopefully!
Go MIPS!
You may notice a MIPS Kindness Quilt on display in the MPA on your next visit.
The quilt comes as a product of the remarkable PBL our Year 6 students lead during their ‘Upstander’ Campaign on the National day of Action Against Violence and Bullying.
All MIPS students were given a patch to design. In their design students were asked to write or draw what ‘Kindness is…’ . With the help of our Year 6 Students and Miss Dann, the singular patches then came together to make up our wonderful quilt.
The quilt will hang as a reminder for our school community to focus on everyday acts of kindness and continue to strive for more. Our aim is to foster habits that help our students and teachers reach difficult goals. Kindness and helping others is always a priority at MIPS!
Thank you Year 6 and the whole school community for making this come together!
