Dernancourt School R-7 Newsletter

Welcome to the 2020 school year at Dernancourt School R-7.

We extend a warm welcome to the new families joining us, and are excited to be continuing our learning journey with our returning families.

After having the time to ‘recharge’ staff returned to work last week and started planning  a range of engaging learning experiences. Some of the things we have to look forward to this term include R-5 Swimming,  6/7 Student Leaders Day and Sports Day. It’s no wonder our students have settled into the year so smoothly and are  keen to continue their learning journey in their new classes. It was great to see so many families at our welcome back assembly then  meet some  parents at the morning tea on Tuesday morning, we hope to meet  more of our families at our Acquaintance Evening on Tuesday, February 11th. Details of this are below. For catering purposes please reply via our Skoolbag app how many sausages or veggie burgers your family needs  by Thursday, February 6th.

The next Governing Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday 11th February, 2020 at 7:00pm in the Staffroom. This meeting will be held at the conclusion of Acquaintance Night.

The Governing Council AGM will be held on Tuesday 18th February, 2020. More details will follow in next weeks newsletter.

At the start of the year we would like to remind families of our uniform requirements and ask that you please read the uniform policy attached. It is important that all of our students wear the correct uniform as this helps to create a sense of belonging and pride in our school.

The Uniform Shop is open on Mondays from 2:30pm until 4:30pm  and on Friday from 8:30am until 9:30am.  Online orders can be placed via https://www.jssportsonline.com.au/collections/dernancourt-r-7-school    AfterPay available online only.
