PRINCIPAL'S NEWS

Dear Parents

Last week I was lucky enough to travel to Dwellingup with the Year 6 students and what a great time we had.

The rain stopped, the sun came out and the excitement was building as we gathered at the front of the school.

Everyone helped load all the gear onto the buses with the only knuckle being me as I left my camera sitting on the grass.

Thank you to Mrs Soklevski for racing it down the road to catch up with Mrs Thomas and deliver it to me.

We stopped in at Pinjarra to looked at the memorial to the people who died in the Battle of Pinjarra then headed off to Dwellingup.

You cannot help but be impressed with the beauty of the place, the bush and the quiet!!!  Well it probably was till we got there.

The students quickly got established into the dorms and headed out into the bush for a walk and a play amongst the trees.

We had lunch and began the activities, Flying Fox, Abseiling, Orienteering, Commando Course and Archery Tag.

I was super impressed with the way that every activity was tackled.  Everyone challenged themselves to overcome any concerns they had, they encouraged each other and had fun.

Thank you to Mrs Franz, Mr Rann, Mrs Thomas and Ms Fielding.  They were champions to put in 24 hour days for three days to make the camp special.

Parents are requested to let the office know if their child will require positions at

    Rawlinson Primary School in 2020.

    IMPORTANT

As part of our planning and Departmental requirements for next year, we need

to know the number of students who will be attending

    Rawlinson Primary School in 2020.

This enables us to begin to work our year level configurations and class sizes.

Apart from Year 6's, could you please indicate to

Mrs Johnson or Mrs Bartolomei (School Officers) if your child/children will

DEFINITELY NOT BE ATTENDING Rawlinson Primary School in 2020.

Students from A5 will have their work displayed

    ADJUDICATOR'S COMMENTS

    FIRST SONG : LIFELINE

"Wow!  How professional you all looked on stage.  I can tell you have taken a lot of effort with your appearance today.  I really like the unforced and supported tone you are making.  Also - your attention to those long notes which you held and the way you watched Miss Goyder and put your consonants exactly how she wanted them.  Remember to support your higher notes with lots of genius!  What a great song - prepared A11.  Well done to your soloist."

SECOND SONG : SONG OF AUSTRALIA

"Well done on your attention to your diction - I could hear all your words very clearly.  This song was sung at an excellent tempo and was rhythmically effective.  Again - you are making a lovely sound - Remember to prepare yourself with lots of air when approaching higher notes.  Great work soloists.  A thoroughly entertaining performance."

Well done Briana & Logan on your excellent announcing!
