7-12 Parents as Partners Meeting
A good number of parents attended our Year 7 – 12 Parents as Partners meeting on Wednesday afternoon. It was a good opportunity to report to parents on various things that have been happening at the school this year as well as to catch up with the high school teachers. Also, the opportunity to revisit the things that make OLSH the place it is. The success of the school to a large degree is the partners working together. The history of the school has seen the Church, the School and Families partnering in the education of the children enrolled at OLSH. It has seen positive outcomes over the years.
Every day counts at OLSH
Week 8 is the end of our Assessment period. Students can give a sigh of relief as they wrap up the last eight days of Term, before a well-earned break over Easter. As every day counts at OLSH it is important that students work right through until the end of Term.
Staff Resignation
It was with regret that I accepted our Head of Secondary’s, Mrs Rachel Baiwan, resignation this week due to personal reasons. Given the circumstances it has taken effect from Monday. I wish Mrs Baiwan well and thank her for the great work she achieved while employed at OLSH.
School Board of Management
Parents and Guardians are reminded that the school’s Board of Management is integral in the functioning of the school. We have vacancies on the Board and I encourage anyone who feels they can contribute, to submit a nomination form for processing. Equally, if you know an eligble person who you think may be suitable I encourage you to nominate them and have their acceptance completed and submit the form.
Best regards,
Mr Geoff Jackson
