Principal's Message

How lucky were we with the weather for the Athletics Carnival! It is such a super fun event for the children and a wonderful way to bring our community together. It is wonderful to see so many have a go and be proud of their achievements. Huge thank you to Mr Marshall for organising and managing this huge event. A very big thank you goes to the P & C parent volunteers for the cake stall and organising the coffee van, this certainly kept everyone sustained for the day!

Very big thank you to the DUCK’s (Lex Brickland, Daniel Romano, Hamish Buddle, Luke Vanson, Brent Hedley, Matt Rainbow) who organised the DUCK’s Campout Flyer competition. The children designed some amazing flyers! Well done to the prize winners and everyone who participated. I know there are some super excited children who can’t wait for the Camp out in November! Remember registrations are now open via the P & C QKR! App.

Don’t forget the Learning Journey is on Tuesday 13 September. Classes will open at 5 – and close at 6.30. The children are so excited to show you what they have been achieving across the school. Classes will even have a bit of a ‘challenge’ activity for parents to have a go at! Don’t forget to visit the Music, Art and French rooms. It is always a great family night.

Education Assistant Appreciation Week

This week we have celebrated Education Assistant Appreciation Week. At Churchlands PS, we are very fortunate to have such a dedicated and hardworking team of Education Assistants who have a positive impact on student learning and well-being. EAs are an integral part of the education team and their support of teachers, students and families is highly valued by all. If you see one of the EAs around the school, be sure to give them some words of appreciation.

On Thursday we held a morning tea to share our appreciation and thanks for all their efforts. To Mrs Lund, Mrs Ratna, Ms Edwards, Mrs Swan, Mrs Lewer, Miss Hunter, Mrs Skead, Mrs Doney, Miss Maples, Ms Vogas, Mrs Taylor, Ms Titren and Ms Menendez, we thank you.

STAY TUNED....MORE TO COME SOON!!

Last call for Lost Property

As you can see we have a large number of jumpers, drink bottles and other assorted items in our lost property pile in the undercover area - and it keeps growing!

We have laid the items out numerous times and asked for students to collect but to no avail! There are several items with names of past students on them. Please ensure that if you purchase, or are given, second hand uniforms that you cross previous owners out and replace with your child’s name so they can be returned.

All items will be thrown out or donated on Friday 16th September (week 9).

Thank you!
