Principal's Report

Dear Parents and Carers,

Kindergarten Orientation

We cannot wait to see our 2023 Kindergarten students at their first orientation session next Thursday, 10 November between 2–3pm. During this session, they will be spending time in the Kindergarten room while their parents meet for an information session in the Library. If you have any questions in the lead up to the first session, please don’t hesitate to make contact with the school.

Leisure Sports

Students in Years 3-6 are eager to participate in their Term 4 Leisure Sports, with the first session scheduled for this Friday. Please make sure your child’s permission note is returned prior to the day.

Canteen Starts Next Week!

Carlyie, our canteen coordinator, has been super busy getting everything ready and we're very excited that our canteen will be operational again next week! The first day of operation will be next Tuesday, 8 November and then it will move to Wednesdays for the remaining weeks of this term. You will find a copy of the menu in this ‘Newsletter’ and a hard copy was sent home with students today. To order from the canteen, simply write your child's name and class on a brown paper bag, along with what you would like them to order and enclose the money in the bag. Orders should be taken to the canteen on the morning of canteen day.

If you are able to spare a few hours a term to assist Carlyie, we would love your help! Children love seeing their mums, dads and grandparents around the school and as a perk of helping out in the canteen, your child/ren will be given a voucher to use at the canteen that day! We'd love to have a helper with Carlyie each week, so please contact the school or put you name on the roster on the canteen door. Thank you Carlyie for all your work in getting our canteen operational again!

Slime Spectacular Fun Run

The Slime Run was such a great success! Thank you to all the parents for helping your child raise money and get involved in such a great cause. Because of everyone’s effort, many coral plants will be placed in the ocean and many trees planted. What a great message to send to our kids about looking after our planet.

Altogether we raised over $10,000 and minus the expenses of approximately $2,000, that is $8,000 we can put straight back into our wonderful school and experiences for our kids.

Thank you to all the parents (and young siblings) for helping on the day as well.

It was a great team effort by all and I think you’ll agree lots of fun!!! We can’t wait to do it again next year.
