Year 11 Parent and Teacher Interviews November 3
Best wishes to our Year 11 students as they sit their first major exams in senior school. We have scheduled interviews for our parents and students to discuss their daughter’s learning and growth half-way through their HSC program of study. The interviews will take place from 3.30pm - 7.00pm on 3 November. They will be conducted via the Zoom video conference platform and parents will need to prepare by doing two things. They will need to book an appointment and then, on the day, click a link that will be provided for each of their daughter’s teachers. More details will be sent home to Year 11 parents shortly. Please put the date in your calendar.
Red Kite
Year 9 will be hosting a fundraising initiative during Week 10 for Red Kite. Red Kite is a charity that helps support children with cancer. We would like to assist students and families within our community affected by Cancer and donate these funds to Red Kite.
We will be having a 'Wear Red Day' with a gold coin donation and a BBQ on Tuesday 22nd September. Also on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday of Week 10 at lunchtime we will be asking students to come and purchase and make their own badges at lunchtime in the Gallery.
Thank you in advance for supporting this fundraising initiative.
National Child Protection Week: Putting Children First
We all play a part in keeping children and young people safe and ensuring they can live and learn in a safe environment. This National Child Protection Week (6 to 12 September 2020), we pledge commitment to listening to the voices of children and young people and remaining vigilant to their safety and wellbeing.
In support of the National Child Protection Week theme, “Putting Children First”, and in line with the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards, Catholic Education Diocese of Parramatta (CEDP) is committed to the establishment and implementation of child safe systems, policies and procedures. The aim is to have in place practices that are proactive and preventative in nature, providing children and young people with school environments where they are safe, informed, participate, and where the adult community, working together with children and young people, work towards making this happen.
By providing the community with the knowledge, support and procedures to keep children and young people safe we are equipping everyone with the tools and skills needed to be ambassadors of child safety! Throughout 2020, CEDP's Safeguarding Team have been working on many projects to align with the National Catholic Safeguarding Standards.
