Dear Families,

It is Lent - A Time to Reflect

During Lent we try to make a difference by giving to the world’s poor.  Classes have been given a project compassion money box that they will attempt to fill with donations over the coming weeks.

The idea of Project Compassion is that we do something (eg. wash the car, unstack the dishwasher) or give up something (eg. lollies, dessert, a trip to the movies) and put that money towards helping the world’s poor.  

I encourage you to support your child’s efforts to help the works of Catholic Missions through Project Compassion.

Tuesday, 17th March is school photo day and all students are required to be in correct summer uniform for this day.  The options for this are as follows:

• St Alipius maroon polo t-shirt, navy shorts, plain white socks and black school shoes/plain black runners, or 
• St Alipius summer dress, plain white socks and black shoes

We would like to thank families for embracing the changes to our uniform, however please be reminded that there are guidelines to follow to ensure correct uniform or sports uniform is worn by students each day.

Expressions of Interest are now being taken for Foundation Enrolments for 2021.

Our next Open Mornings sessions will be as follows:

• Monday 16th March 2020 @ 9:30am
• Tuesday 24th March 2020 @ 9:30am

Please pass this information on to any families you know of, who may be interested so they can register to attend an Open Morning.

In order for us to be able to identify how many places we have available for new families, we ask current families within our school community to kindly let us know as soon as possible if you have a sibling intending to join our Foundation class in 2021.

Our students participated in Clean Up Australia Day and made it into The Courier for their efforts.

The 3/4 LC walked to Community Garden collecting rubbish from the streets along the way while the rest of the school carried out the same work around the school grounds.

We are proud of our students for taking on board our values around sustainability and caring for our environment.
