CELEBRATE THE LEARNING

Showcase of a range of children's work from throughout the year

THURSDAY 31st OCTOBER

5pm-7:30pm

BBQ Provided

On the evening the children are invited to attend between the nominated hours to showcase to their parents samples of work completed throughout the year.

The children are able to attend anytime between 5 and 7pm ( finishing no later than 7:30). 

When surveyed, the children overwhelmingly indicated that having parents come to school and see their work was very important to them.  In recognition of this, we want to give as many parents as possible an opportunity to celebrate learning with their child/children.

A light dinner (BBQ) will be provided between 5:30 and 7pm.


Place Value

Prep,1 & 2 children used MAB blocks, unifix, cubes and 10 rods to make numbers to pay for goods from catalogues. Check out our Social Media sites (Facebook & Instagram) for more fantastic examples. Each child was able to check and challenge Miss Jones to count and name price.

Bakers Delight

This term, it is Year 5 and 6 turn to get their 2 loaves a week for next 4 weeks.Thanks Greg ( Bakers Delight Brentford Square)

Vermont Child Care

It is with great excitement that we can inform you that the Vermont Children's Centre is ALMOST ready to open.

The interior has been finished this week and it is a bright, spacious space with a generous number of rooms and play areas. It is ready to be outfitted with lovely new furniture and mats.

Exciting playgrounds are ready to be installed in two separate play areas. Once the security fence is removed, a landscaped entrance area will welcome in children and their families.

You may have noticed the lovely new sign that was erected during the week advertising Vermont Children's Centre. We plan to have the existing St Timothy's Parish and School sign refitted with a bright new look.

We eagerly await the opportunity to tour the facility in the coming weeks.

Walk to School Breakfast

Please use this opportunity to encourage your child /children to walk, ride or scoot to school throughout October. It is great to develop healthy practices, which have both excellent physical and mental health rewards.

To celebrate we will have a Walk to School Breakfast on Thursday 14th November starting at 8:15 am. Waffles and Pancakes are on the menu!

Hello everyone, it's nearing the end of the school year already!

Our grade 6 children will be transitioning into high school in the coming weeks.  It's a St Timothy's tradition that we hold a parent organised graduation dinner for the grade 6 children and parents which is held after the graduation mass (all school families are most welcome to attend the mass).   This year's Mass (6pm) and Dinner (7pm) at St Timothy's will be held on Tuesday December 17th.  This is a very special occasion for the children as they are surrounded by their families, friends and teachers as they celebrate and reflect on their primary school years and look forward to their new adventures in Secondary School.

 We would love to extend a warm invitation for the offer of assistance to all the families across the year levels.If you would like to assist we would love and appreciate in the coming weeks if you could please either donate a bottle of soft drink/juice or a bag of sweets.  All donations can be put in a marked box "graduation" in the Parents room.We will be sending out further details/requests in the coming weeks for offers for the salad/dessert or to help on the night.With love and gratitude,
