PRINCIPAL'S NEWS

Dear Parents

I have been asked to clarify the reason why we have students changing after swimming at school.

One of the hardest parts of organising swimming is the buses and this is due to the crossover of classes and their cost.

If we have the students changing at the pool then we need two buses, as the time it takes to get students changed and back on the bus is significant.

This adds an extra $20 to every students cost to go swimming and with the cost of living being as it is, I made the decision to have only one bus.

Changing at school allows us to hire only one bus and to be able to get groups of children to and from the pool on time.

I will make sure that the bus heater is on and the bus is warm.  We will have two rooms that are warm and ready for the students to change in. One for girls and one for boys.

Those that wish can change in a toilet cubicle.

To make sure that students are warm please ensure they have a dry towel and a jumper to put on before getting back on the bus.

Kind regards

Darryl Dedman

CANTEEN ORDERS DURING SWIMMING IN TERM 3

Dear Parents and Carers

I have had a discussion with the Canteen and they are keen to supply hot lunches to all students wishing to order them during swimming.

Four classes, A4, D4, A6, and B4 will be at swimming during our normal lunch time at 11am.

Lunch for these students will be when they return from swimming. The canteen will keep any hot orders in the warmer till they return and are changed. They will then be  placed in the class basket and taken to classes for distribution by the class teacher.

Kind regards
