Chisholm Need to Know

CAROLINE CHISHOLM COLLEGE

Welcome to Chisholm Need to Know. As the world comes to terms with the impact that the pandemic is having on individuals and families, there may have been a natural tendency to withdraw and simply take of 'number one'.  Instead, around the world we have seen an outpouring of kindness, generosity, concern for the oppressed and a reclaiming of what Christians would call 'Gospel Values'. When talking about this crisis, do you encourage your children to look for the good, the kind and the inspirational?

School Reports

Year 10 reports were issued on Thursday 2 July. Please contact the office if you have not received your daughter's report.

Year 7, 8, 9 reports will be issued on Wednesday 29 July.

Year 10 students are asked to complete their online subject preference forms and return a signed copy to Student Services by 31 July. Please ask your daughter to see Ms Scollard if she is having any difficulty completing this form. A reminder that subject interviews are scheduled for Tuesday 11 August. They will be conducted with recommended health requirements applying at the time.

Uniform reminders

 Students are reminded that

  • it is still compulsory to wear the college blazer to and from school each day (other than sport uniform days) for the rest of this term or until otherwise advised.
  • blue stockings must be worn for Term 3 or until otherwise advised
  • it is not compulsory to wear sport uniform on Wednesday. Students should only wear sport uniform to and from school if they have the full sport uniform. Otherwise, they should wear normal uniform and bring sportswear if they have sport.

Parent Parking

We understand that parking near the college to pick up students is never easy and is harder at the moment with more parents dropping off and picking up students in the three schools along The Lakes Drive and William Howell Drive since COVID-19. However, we request that parents follow parking directions on the streets and are considerate to our neighbours. Do not stop in the middle of The Lakes Drive and drop students off even if the drop off zone is full and the traffic is not moving. Do not stop across the driveway entrance to the college.

College Administration Office will be closed from Monday 6 July 2020  up to and including Monday 20 July 2020

With the School Holidays coming up the College Offices will also be closed and no staff will be available to answer queries in respect of school fees, payments, or other matters during this time. All phones will be set to voicemail and queries will not be answered until staff return on the College's re-opening on Tuesday 21 July 2020.
