Dear Parents/Caregivers,
I hope that this message finds you, and your family, safe and healthy.
Thankyou for your patience, kindness and support as we navigate these extraordinary times.
The Prime Minister's announcement this week reinforced that schools are open for students whose parents are not able to supervise them at home as well as for students who are vulnerable. He stressed that student learning remains a priority whether it be at home or in the classroom and as such all children will be completing the same unit of work.
Our teachers are continuing to provide on-line learning programs for all of our students via Seesaw P-2 and Google Classrooms 3-6. Preschool has already set up some paper packs until the end of the term 1. Term 2 will be working the same way we are now.
While not yet confirmed, we are working under the assumption that on-line learning will continue after the scheduled school holidays. We are aware that on-line learning has worked very well in some households but perhaps not as well in others. We are committed to assist you as best as we possibly can.
For your information, the Department has made a range of resources available to parents to assist with on-line learning from home. Visit the following site for further details: https://education.nsw.gov.au/teaching-and-learning/curriculum/learning-from-home/advice-to-parents-and-carers.
Again, a big ‘Thank You’ for your support and cooperation during this difficult time. Please do not hesitate to contact your child’s class teacher, Assistant Principals, Deputy Principals or myself.
I will continue to update you with any new developments.

Yours in education,
Janine Macky
