We had two superb presentation days last week. Our leaders did a wonderful job running both days and were very well supported by Ms Sheather and all of the executive staff.
A lot of work does go into the organisation of these events including organising the awards and preparation along with the awards themselves and coordinating the event.
A big thank you to IGA for again donating $1297 to the school which will go towards new furniture for the classes.
We also congratulate our new incoming leaders for 2020 and will have the induction early term 1. They do have big shoes to fill and we believe they will do a an excellent job.
Our Year 6 students had a very enjoyable evening at Kooindah Waters Golf Club for their Farewell. It was the first time we have been to Kooindah waters and the students and staff thoroughly enjoyed the evening and dancing. All of the students had a wonderful evening, and we thank Mrs Freers, Mrs Stevens, Mrs Cowley and Mrs Whitehouse for their organisation and planning.
Thank you also to Mrs Egan for making the Farewell Cake and Cup cakes for the students. We enjoyed the cake and appreciate the time taken to bake and decorate all of the cup cakes.
Students last day is tomorrow and we end the day with the year 6 walkout. This will begin at 2.45 PM in the COLA.
I thank the entire teaching and non-teaching staff on their strong work throughout the year and also for ensuring the children have the best education, opportunities and support available. I also include a huge thank you to the office staff for their work behind the scenes to your students and the staff.
We also thank the school P&C for the wonderful contribution to the school and students. They have supported the school with many fundraising events including Mothers day , Fathers day, Christmas and Easter stalls as well as raising funds for your students (new sports clothing, banners and a 3D printer) as well as supporting school banking and the uniform shop. Their time is invaluable.
To all families, have an enjoyable Christmas and New Year, and we wish everyone a safe and happy 2020, and hope that these bush fires subside soon.
