Letter from the Acting Principal

This week we have our whole school production to look forward to.  You will be amazed at how fantastic the show is as it would certainly rival any Broadway Musical!  Sue Cahill should be commended for all the time and effort that she has put into this great event.  She has overseen every part of this Production from choosing the script right through to our final performance with an incredible eye for detail.  Thank you Sue for your dedication and commitment to ensuring that our students have a wonderful opportunity to perform for their family and friends.

We are also very grateful to our staff and the many parents in our community that have so generously shared their talents and time.  Our talented parent community have been sewing, building, shopping and all staff have been active in finding and making props and costumes, creating programs, organising the ticketing, practicing items and attending rehearsals, taking photos - the list goes on!  It is wonderful to be a part of a community that work and support each other so well and I look forward to seeing you all on Friday for a night of wonderful entertainment.

Father's Day

Today our students had the opportunity to purchase special gifts for their Dads, Uncles or Grandpas.  This year the children shopped in family groups and it was an absolute joy to see them discussing and negotiating with one another as they made their selections.  Thank you to our P&F Committee and the mums who assisted them on the day.

We look forward to welcoming all the special men in our community to our Annual Father’s Day Breakfast on Thursday morning at 7:30am.

We wish all the Dads a wonderful day this Sunday

District Athletics

Sport is alive and well at St John the Baptist with over 40 children representing our school in the District Athletics Championships this coming Thursday.  We wish our competitors the best of luck in their upcoming events and thank them for representing our school as both talented and fair sportspeople.

Bunnings BBQ

Thankyou to our P&F who have organised a Bunnings BBQ for this Saturday 3rd September.  This is a great date for our school to secure as it is the day before Father’s Day and traditionally a very big day at Bunnings!  I am very grateful for the time our parent committee gives to raising funds for our school.

Reminder - School Closure Day

Just a reminder that there is a school closure day on Monday September 5th.  No students at school this day.
