Welcome to Term 3!
It is lovely to see our students’ smiling faces back at school. We welcome Mr Newton back to Team Tomerong, specifically onto the Year 4 class for the remainder of the year. We know all of our classes have a fantastic semester of learning ahead.
Social Distancing in Schools
We are still urging parents to remain outside the school gate where possible and avoid entering the school grounds. If parents of students in Kindergarten and Year 1 need to do so in the afternoon, they can collect their child from the open grassed area below the amphitheatre (please do not wait outside the classroom).
Increased hygiene practices are continuing including an increased cleaning allocation of high touch areas throughout the day. We also have increased supplies of sanitizer and are continuing to promote regular hand washing amongst students. Please ensure your child continues to bring their drink bottle each day as they are not to drink from the bubblers at this stage.
Kindergarten Enrolments
Planning is already underway for 2021, so if you are considering enrolling your child for next year, please call us so we can include them in our numbers.
Canberra Excursion
Unfortunately, we still have not had confirmation as to whether or not our Stage 3 Canberra excursion will proceed. At this stage we are asking parents to put money aside in the hope that it will go ahead. The cost of the Canberra excursion is expected to be approximately $230 with a discount for families who will have two or more children attending. An expression of interest form will be sent out in coming weeks for parents so we have accurate numbers in the event that it does proceed. Please do not commence payment to the school at this stage.
