Students are asked to be dressed in full-school uniform and arrive to their classrooms by 6:15pm.  Please ensure your child has enjoyed afternoon or dinner before taking part in this evening assembly and that they are well hydrated. We predict warm weather for our end of year celebrations.

P&C News - Week 8, Term 4 2019

The NEXT MEETING (and first for 2020 ) is TERM 1, WEEK 3, THURSDAY 13th February at 7pm.

Please remember all are welcome; however if you can’t attend but would like something added to the agenda, please contact the P&C via email (suttonpublicschool@pandcaffiliate.org.au.) or on our Facebook page (@SPSPandCAssociation) to discuss.

Don’t forget we post all relevant P&C information and our events on our Facebook page, in the newsletter, on the noticeboard next to Kindergarten and via Skoolbag and all meeting minutes are available via the School website and upon request.

SEEKING VOLUNTEERS FOR NEXT YEAR!

SUTTON COUNTRY FAIR 2020

If you ran a stall last year, please let me know if you’re keen to do so again. I will email early first term next year to check.

If you’re interested in being involved in the organisation of the Fair or have any ideas, please contact Linda via the P&C email or the P&C Facebook page (or personally if you have my details).

P&C TREASURER

Our current treasurer Jodi Wood will be leaving the school at the end of this year and as such, we are looking for someone to take over her role. Ideally, our new person would meet with Jodi this term to get a full rundown of how the P&C accounts and procedures are run.

This position is only required until the next Annual General Meeting early/mid 2020 unless you find the position to your liking and nominate for the next year! We are actually a pretty cool bunch of people to work with and will give you a good understanding of how our little P&C runs!

If you’re interested, please feel free to contact Jodi on 0412 140 332 or jodi_wood@bigpond.com or any of the other members of the Sutton P&C Association.

MANGOES & MURRUMBATEMAN FIELD DAYS

Next year the P&C will need some new faces to take over the Mango Fundraiser and the running of the Murrumbateman Field Days parcel pick up. If either of these fundraisers interests you, please contact the P&C for more information.

WAMBOIN COMMUNITY CAROLS NIGHT

It might not feel it yet but the end of year is approaching faster than we might believe and so too is the annual Wamboin Community Carols Night!

Put on by the Wamboin Community Association this is a wonderful way to celebrate the end of the year with a community get together. This is a nondenominational event and the emphasis is on the community enjoying themselves particularly the younger residents. Admission to the event is a gift under the Christmas tree for the Salvation Army people to take to someone less fortunate. The night features carol singing ably supported by local music group Poetry in Motion, the telling of the Christmas story (in its rather unique style), a BBQ (gold coin donation which also goes to the Salvo’s), and of course the arrival of Santa to distribute gift bags to the children. The date for this extravaganza is 6th December 2019 at 7:00 pm sharp at the Community Hall in Bingley Way. So please come along and enjoy yourselves. Parents of children wishing to perform in the Christmas Play are invited (PLEASE) to ring Jenny Richards on 6238 1329 as soon as possible to organize parts.
