Gate Closure
Thank you to all members of the community for your acceptance of the new rules regarding the driveway gate closure. This is an important improvement to school safety and I appreciate your understanding in this matter.
Christmas Carols
The teachers, students, Carols Committee and P & C have been working hard to get everything ready for our Carols night this Friday. Gates open at 6pm and tickets can still be purchased. Last year was a lovely community event and we cannot wait to get into the Christmas spirit. Remember to bring along your picnic blankets. Food and drinks will be available on the night.
Please be advised that this is a smoking and alcohol free event. We also ask that no dogs are brought onto premises to ensure the safety of all members of the community.

Congratulations to Miriam Gauld and Annabelle James for receiving the ‘Outstanding Sporting Achievement Award’, for representing our school and region at three state carnivals of swimming, cross country and athletics. The achievement of these girls has been amazing this year and the whole school community is very proud of you both.
In addition to this award, this year Miriam Gauld has demonstrated excellence in many sporting arenas and has been named the following: School Age Champion in Swimming, Liverpool Zone Age Champion in Swimming, Liverpool Zone Age Champion in Cross Country, School Age Champion in Athletics, Liverpool Zone Age Champion in Athletics and Regional Age Champion in Athletics. Thank you to Mrs Millot and the Year 6 students for organising the Sushi Lunch fundraiser. It went down a treat.
Thank you to all Stage 3 parents for your support of our Mini Fete that will taking place on the 5th December, without your support of this event, it would not be possible. White Ribbon
Thank you to the school community for your support of White Ribbon day last Friday. It was great to see so many white shirts on students and staff. I’m sure many of you enjoyed the icy poles that were on sale. This is a great initiative that empowers our students, teacher and whole school community to engage in respectful relationships with others.
Leavers and new enrolments
As we are nearing the end of the year and begin planning for 2020, I urge all families to please tell the office as soon as possible if you will be leaving or if you have family or friends moving to the area who may want to enrol at Hammondville. If you are going on holidays and will be returning after the 29th January 2020, please contact the office as we will require families to indicate in writing the intended return date, so we can include your children in our numbers. The sooner we know our enrolment numbers the sooner we can begin class formations and staffing arrangements for 2020.
