    • Sibling Photos - Don’t forget to pre-order your sibling photos online up to 24 hours before photo day. We provide your school with a list of sibling orders right up to the day of photography, so no one misses out. If you miss the online order deadline, you can submit a completed sibling order envelope first thing in the morning of the day of photography, so your school is aware you want the photo taken and can bring your children together in time for it. Sibling photographs only apply to children enrolled at your school.
    • Late fees - a late fee will be applied to each package purchased after photo day due to the additional cost of producing these packages separately
    • Package delivery - School photographs will be returned approximately 6 weeks after the day of photography. Please note this delivery timeframe is dependent on proofing and additional photography days at your school.
    • Previous Years’ photos - Past years’ photographs including sports, co-curricular and representative groups are also available to order under the “previous years or group photo” tabs at your school’s advancedorder site when you click on the “Order School Photos Here” button above. You can also order past packages, portrait images and gifts from your child’s unique, individual and secure advancedyou image archive site using the unique 9 digit image code found on packages you have ordered in the past

    CTK Trials Rubbish Free Thursday

    CTK Trials Rubbish Free Thursday

The FIAT Stewardship Team were very happy with their first Rubbish Free Thursday. Most students bought their recess and lunch to school in reusable containers. We still had some students who had their food in plastic or foil packaging which they had to put into their pockets or lunch boxes to take home.

Our aim is to change parents' purchasing behaviour so that less packaging is bought at the shops which will send a message to manufacturers to produce less packaging. Please complete this two question survey so that our FIAT Stewardship Team can ascertain how CTK can continue to reduce the rubbish produced and then brought to school and contribute to caring for our beautiful world as God wants us to.

    Enhancing Catholic school Identity

    Dear Christ the King families,

Over the next three years, all of the Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese Pty Ltd (CSPDL) learning communities will embark on a new chapter of growing Catholic identity in all areas of their work and ministry. This identity will be shaped through dialogue with all community members.

To support this important work CSPDL has partnered with the Katholieke Universiteit, Leuven to introduce a survey that will provide insights for teachers and leaders regarding how the Catholic identity of their community is experienced and expressed by its members. This will enable schools to tailor formation opportunities for their communities. In doing so the Diocese of Parramatta will join a number of other dioceses throughout Australia that use these surveys to guide the next steps in areas of Catholic Identity. Please note that these surveys are anonymous respecting the privacy of all participants.

Over the coming weeks, all students from Year 5 and Year 6 at Christ the King, North Rocks along with staff and parents will be invited to complete the Catholic Identity Survey.

To enable us to get the best possible picture of our community we would like to invite you to attend a High Tea at the school. Please see the attached invitation. During this time we will share a short explanatory video before giving you the opportunity to complete the survey and ask any questions that you may have.

High Tea and ECSI March 31 RSVP

Parents who are unable to join us at the school are still encouraged to complete the survey at any point prior to Friday April 28. Information on how to complete the survey can be found on the attached letter from KU Leuven and CSPD. When completing the survey please use the Christ the King, North Rocks  access code BNt132

    Finance Update

    SCHOOL FEES

Term 1 School fee statements have been posted home.

School fees come in 3 components - Diocesan fees, Diocesan Building Levy and School Based fees:

    1.       Diocesan Fee - These fees are set by Catholic Schools Parramatta Diocese (CSPD) and are the same for every school in the Diocese. They mainly cover the cost of teaching and delivering the agreed curriculum. There are significant sibling discounts for families with more than one child at a CSPD school (it does not have to be the same school).

    2.       Diocesan Building Levy - This fee is set by CSPD and is the same for every school in the Diocese. The annual Diocesan Building Levy for 2023 is $855. This fee is designed to cover improvements and upgrades of school facilities.

    3.       School-Based Fees - These are determined by each school in the Diocese according to the needs of the school and are billable for each child. At Christ the King we have a Resource fee which covers student resources and Technology maintenance. We also have an Activity Fee which covers annual excursions, SISA sporting program, carnivals, Life Education, Swimming Program and incursions. Year 5 and 6 will also have the cost of the overnight excursion included.

    Flexible payment options

Families are offered flexible payment options at the start of each year, allowing families to select a payment plan that best suits them. Payments can be made by direct debit or BPay on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis at no additional charge.

If you are experiencing financial difficulty, please don’t hesitate to phone Mrs Anna Small (Finance Officer) or Mr Tony Hughes (Principal) for a confidential discussion.
