PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE

Dear Community,

It is with much pride, but also some mixed emotions that I need to inform you that our wonderful Deputy Principal, Mrs Erica Salt, has been selected to take up another position for the next 12 months from the beginning of Term 4.

Mrs Salt has won an exciting opportunity to manage one of the Department’s Behaviour and Engagement centres for the next year. Student engagement is a passion of Mrs Salt’s and also an area in which she holds a great deal of expertise so there is no doubt that she will continue to shine in her new role.

Whilst this position is temporary for now, I would still like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the outstanding contributions that Mrs Salt has made in her 7 years so far at Scarborough PS. She has been instrumental in developing both the academic and social and emotional programs and practices  in our school. She is in many ways a big part of the heart and soul of Scarborough Primary School. Whilst she will definitely be missed whilst she is away, her contributions are so ingrained in the culture of our school that she will still be here in spirit.

We are currently working through staffing processes to fill Mrs Salt’s position and I hope to be able to give you more information around that once a replacement has been confirmed.

I know you will all join me in wishing Mrs Salt all the best in her new adventure.
