HEALTH TIPS

Personal Hygiene

Ensuring children have good hygiene is one way to prevent illness. Here are some tips for helping children maintain good hygiene:

·         Wash hands before and after touching food, and after going to the toilet, touching animals or being around someone who is coughing or has a cold.

·         Wash body daily and keep hair clean.

·         To prevent body odours, change clothes regularly and use deodorant if necessary.

·         Change underwear and socks daily, and leave shoes outside to dry.

·         To prevent bad breath, brush and floss teeth and visit the dentist regularly.

·         If ill, try not to cough or sneeze on others, clean things that you touch, and throw away things with germs on them (like tissues).

Should you require further information about hygiene, contact your local Community Health Nurse, or go to http://raisingchildren.net.au .

UNIFORM SHOP

Kindy Open Day

Thanks, for those who turned up to volunteer today, your help is greatly appreciated :).

Uniform Shop Closing for 2022

Qkr! will be open until 8.00pm this evening at which time the uniform shop will be closed for 2022.  Any uniform orders made before this time will be packed and delivered to classrooms on Monday 28th November and there will be no further deliveries made.

Items ordered but not able to be delivered to classrooms or are not collected, will be held for collection on the January open days - look for the QKR! order pickup sign.

Any orders for new Kindy families will receive a text message that your package is ready for collection and will be left at the office for collection. Any not collected before the end of the year will be collected and put away to be brought out in January on the open days - look for the QKR! order pickup sign.

January Openings

The Uniform shop is usually open in the week before school goes back but only for two sessions, towards the end of the week.  Next year school goes back on 1st February 2023, so this would mean the uniform shop will have its openings likely between the 24th and the 31st January.  These dates and times are To Be Confirmed.  Keep reading the Newsletter, P&C noticeboard and Facebook page for updates.  We will also need 7 volunteers to facilitate the shop being open. Please volunteer.

Kind regards
