UNIFORMS

Balmain Public School children are expected to wear full school uniform, including a school hat, every day. All children are required to wear full school uniform when representing the school on excursions, at sporting events or at cultural activities.

We can’t wait to see you at the BPS Art Show Soirée, Auction and Family Fete Day. There will be art, entertainment and fun for the whole family. See full details below about how to book. 

This year we have a very special online auction filled with over 80 beautiful works from professional artists. The silent auction starts TODAY and ends on the Family Fete Day at 2pm. Some works have been generously donated and others the school get a commission for each sale. We are fortunate to includes works by four artists named in the Top 100 Australian Artists - Sally Stokes, George Raftopoulos, Ken Done and Vanessa Stockard. Every week we will feature a piece of work alongside the artist.

‘Sometimes in late summer’ 

Sally Stokes

Artist Bio: 

Sally Stokes is a Sydney based abstract landscape artist who works from her studio amongst the angophoras in Dural and her boatshed studio in a remote part of the Hawkesbury river. Sally has completed a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Masters of Analytical Psychology. She studied art at Hornsby TAFE and East Sydney TAFE (The National Art School). She has had seventeen solo shows and numerous group shows. She has been a Finalist in the Sulman prize and the Salon des Refusés and her work has been acquired by many private collectors in Australia and internationally. She is also represented in Public Collections: Newcastle Art Gallery, Artbank, Muswellbrook Regional Arts Centre and Hawkesbury Regional Gallery.

A special adult-only evening for parents and carers to enjoy the gallery of student art with drinks and canapés. Join us for the live auction of class artworks and bid on the external artworks online.

Family Fete Day 

A family-focused event which will feature student and artist work on display. Free entry but all stalls will require tokens. There will be drinks, food, face painting, badge making, dunking, entertainment plus more. All community welcome. Pre-Order Tokens** for a reduced rate

We should preserve the Greenway for the 239 species of birds, 31 species of reptiles, 32 mammals, 10 species of frogs and 2 species of fish that call it home.

The best way to order new uniforms is online and they will be delivered to children's classrooms each Friday morning.

Come to the uniform stall if you need to try items on for size.

Second Chance items are available the first Friday of every month during the school term.

Every FRIDAY - The School Canteen: Special request for parents and carers to cancel their lunch orders if their child is not going to be at school for lunch, by texting 0416 786 603 with their child’s full name and class. In return, an sms will be sent back to confirm the order has been cancelled and all monies returned in full to the child’s Spriggy school account.

3/4 PUFFERFISH!

This term, 3/4P have been joining the rest of Stage 2 for some fitness sessions with our friends! We are focusing on fundamental movement skills to perfect our coordination, balance and strength. We love being able to use the equipment and are thoroughly enjoying the sessions!
