FROM THE PRINCIPAL

NAPLAN

Congratulations to all of our Year 3 and 5 students who sat NAPLAN over the past fortnight. We can't wait to see how you all went.

VoSS Cross Country

We are very excited to be hosting the VoSS Cross Country again in 2023. We would love you to come along and help out in the canteen and see your child / children run the course!

When: Thursday 30 March - 10:00am - 1:30pm

We are looking forward to seeing our new cross country course in action. Michelle, our general assistant, has been preparing it over the last few weeks, it looks great!

Just a reminder that we cannot have any dogs at this event.

Wellbeing Coffee Morning

Our Wellbeing Coffee Morning is on again this Thursday from 8:45am. Be sure to drop by and grab a cuppa!

Thursday 6 April - ANZAC Ceremony and Easter Hat Parade

On the last day of school we have two events!

ANZAC Ceremony

Our school ANZAC Service will be held on the last day of term - 9:15 – 10:00am. Students are required to wear full school uniform and families are invited to attend.

Easter Hat Parade

Our Easter Hat Parade will also be at 2:30pm in the COLA. Students are asked to make an Easter hat and take it to their classroom upon their arrival at school. The day will end with Hot Cross Buns for the kids. Families are welcome to attend and join in the festivities.

Monday Assembly

The Pocket Road

The Pocket Road

A reminder to give way at the causeways where you see a give way sign. It can be tricky when we are in a rush to drop our kids off and get to work or to that appointment but it is essential that we use caution when crossing the causeways. Many parents have already had near misses.

Communication

We use Skoolbag to communicate information to our community. Please make sure you sign up to your child's class in the "Groups" section of the app to receive class updates and specific information.

We also send out hard copy notes for excursions or for school events.

If you need to contact the school we recommend you call us on 66845226 or email us on thepocket-p.school@det.nsw.edu.au

If your child is absent from school for any reason you can log their absence on the skoolbag app or through one of the above methods. Please do not text message staff with your child's absence. This information must come through the front office.

There may be parent whatsapp groups for parent communication, please remember that this is not a school communication tool though.
