St Anthony of Padua Award

At St Anthony’s, we live by our school motto, Word and Deed, and the example of St Anthony of Padua.  St Anthony modelled himself on Jesus Christ, who came that we might have life in its fullness, and taught people to “let their words teach and their actions speak”.  We believe it is important to acknowledge students who are exemplars of this in our school community.  One way that we do this is through the annual presentation of the St Anthony of Padua award.

SVDP Christmas Hamper Appeal

Each grade K-6 collected 100 or more individual items to contribute significantly towards our annual social justice initiative at Christmas, the St Vincent de Paul Winter Appeal. Thank you to all our families for your generosity.

A word of thanks from Mr Paul Sinclair on behalf of the SVDP chapter of St Anthony's Church, Toongabbie.

I extend my thanks to the entire School community for your support of the Christmas Hampers.  The generosity of the school was terrific as was the enthusiasm and energy of the children in the Mini Vinnies Group.I would also like to recognise the hard work of Julie Brownlow and Sonia Awkar in coordinating the school's efforts.

Congratulations Kayla and Addison

Congratulations to two of our Year 6 students Kayla Mulligan and Addison Clark who were presented with the 'Blessed Frederic Ozanam Award' for demonstrating a commitment to community service and living the Gospel message of serving those in need. Athletics Carnival

On Monday 7th December each student participated in a mini Athletics Carnival. It was a fun and fantastic way to celebrate the end of the year and to conclude our Athletics program for 2020.

The students competed in their house teams in stage groups for each carnival. They displayed our house values of excellence, courage, perseverance and justice as they participated in each event. Congratulations to the McAuley house who won the Stage 2 carnival and to the MacKillop house who won the Stage 3 carnival.

Extending Mathematical Understanding (EMU)

Throughout 2020, nine children from Years 1, 3 and 4 engaged in the EMU program. During that time they participated in mathematics lessons which challenged the students to solve problems, think mathematically, articulate reasoning strategies and develop a growth mindset.

We would like to wish congratulations to the following students:

  • Anne-Marie Underwood
  • Rebecca Ribin
  • Chloe Kshetry
  • Avaneesh Uruthiran
