YEARS 7-12 RESILIENCE SURVEY - 1 JUNE

Please be aware that all Years 7-12 students will be completing a Resilience Survey in their timetabled lesson next Wednesday 1 June, Period 3.

As part of the school’s partnership with The Resilience Project we have access to this survey via the Resilient Youth Australia Organisation. The Resilience Survey empowers students and educators, delivering powerful insights to create a connected, protected, respected school culture. The survey is online and it collects, analyses and reports on the resilience of young people at a cohort level in terms of their strengths, life satisfaction, hopefulness, anxiety and depression, coping style and risk and protective behaviours.

The survey has been co-developed with the Department of Psychology, Social Work and Social Policy at the University of South Australia and utilises a significant student data-set of more than 350,000 Australian students aged 7-19 years of age and has been used in over 1,300 Australian schools. All student data is non-identified and anonymous with data transmission and storage secure. To learn more about the Resilient Youth Australia Organisation see: here

The survey consists of over 70 questions and should take approximately 25-30min for students to complete. All details to complete the survey will be emailed direct to students and staff. It will also be spoken about at assembly this week.

Maths Problem of the Week Solutions

SOLUTIONS FROM WEEK 4

Green Solution: The rectangular prism has dimensions 3x5x11 to ensure the volume is 165cm3

Red Solution:  Pattern E will be the piece between points 2007 and 2011. The pattern repeats every 12 dots, and the closest multiple of 12 to 2007 is 12x167=2004, which is 3 dots too early. Therefore, the pattern from 2007 to 2011 will start from the 3rd dot up until the 8th dot to match the beginning of the original pattern shown.
