THANK YOU to all the families that voted for School Sports and Picnic dates.
As a result of the questionnaire/survey, the School Sports &
Picnic will be held on FRIDAY 25th March beginning at 5pm.
Where: School Oval
The evening will consist of both competitive and non- competitive activities for both children and their extended family.
Please start to organise your colours, your running shoes and picnic goodies.
This community events has always fabulous fun for children and adults. Keep your fingers crossed that after a two year 'child only' event due to COVID restrictions that we can finally return to a family celebration!
On Friday 4th and Friday 11th March we are thrilled to be involved in a Auskick training sessions that will be held at St Timothy's School. Children are asked to wear their Sports Uniform and can also choose to wear footy jumpers/shorts/ colours if they have suitable options. The morning is being provided by a local Auskick group. What a great start to the football season. All volunteers have Working with Children Certification and meet COVID Immunisation requirements.
We have rescheduled our School Photos so they will not clash with our onsite Auskick Incursion. Photo day will be Friday 18th March
Full Summer Uniform is required.
Please ensure appropriate school shoes and socks are worn and that children bring their school windcheater. Long hair must be tied back. Thank you.
We have re-booked for a professional photographer to take photos of all our children to update our School Website. It will now be on the 9th March. Permission forms were given to our new Preps but otherwise I have the existing permission forms from past years for other students for Year 1-6. Naturally if you have changed your mind, and do not want your child to be shared on website, Skoolbag or Social Media you can contact me directly. I can also send home a new copy if parents want to resign/update.
School Website on Wednesday 9th March.
School Photos ( individual, class, whole school and leaders) on Friday 18th March
Thankyou for your wonderful efforts all the children looked immaculate on Wednesday. Hopefully, it will be third time lucky for website photoshoot!
Although the year has just started we are already looking ahead to 2023 and sharing the good news about Catholic Schools. Our Social Media pages highlight lots of the Learning Experiences that happen at St Timothy's. Hopefully these can help spread the word about our wonderful school and community. We are open for enrolments for 2023, so please spread the news and invite families you might know with Pre School children to 'BOOK A TOUR' to see why St Timothy's is 'A GREAT PLACE TO BE!'
During Catholic Education Week we celebrate not only our wonderful school but all that our Catholic Schools and Parishes have to offer families.
On Monday 28th February, each child WILL BE GIVEN the next 2 weeks RAPID ANTIGEN TEST kit. We ask that all children and staff complete the test twice a week. Again, thank you for supporting us by testing your children.
RAT testing (Rapid Antigen Testing) will continue throughout Term 1.
Masks - At this stage children Year 3 and all adults must continue to wear masks inside.
8th Sunday of Ordinary Time
We have arrived at the final Sunday before Ash Wednesday. Lent begins this week, and so do our Lenten traditions: self-denial, Stations of the Cross, the Friday fish fry, rice bowls, and hopefully some time in silence to listen more attentively to the Lord’s quiet voice calling us to rest in his love.We do it every year, and it’s such an ingrained part of our Catholic culture: “What are you giving up for Lent?” In the jungle of Catholic social media, suggestions abound.
Why the fuss? And isn’t it a bit of overkill? After all, we’ve all suffered through the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, political turmoil, natural disasters, not to mention all kinds of personal traumas: financial distress, job insecurity, family problems, and the list goes on. Do we really need to do still more penance? The word penance comes from the Latin verb “to convert” (see Mk 1:15); it’s all about conversion, about making space for God in our noisy, busy lives.
