No Parking at the School Crossing

In an effort to improve child safety in and around the school crossing, the Moyne Shire has erected a number of "No Standing" signs near the crossing, which means no parking is permitted in the area between the signs. Please be mindful of this when dropping off and picking up your children so that you are not fined.

The office is open from 8.30am - 4.00pm each day.

There is no supervision for students before 8.40am. Teachers use the time prior to the doors opening for setting up for the day, therefore they are not available to supervise students. Students who arrive at school prior to 8.40am need to wait at the side door near the hall until the doors are opened.

The bell for the start of the day rings at 8.55am, any student arriving after this time needs to be signed in using the iPad at the office.

The bell for the end of the day rings at 3.20pm. If for any reason you are going to be later than 3.30pm to collect your child/children, please contact the school office.

3/4 Camp to Roses Gap

It was fun, challenging and noisy! Roses Gap Recreational Centre was the first experience for our year 3 and 4 students in a school sleep away. Sleeping bags, pillows and teddies were piled into the bus and cars and off we went on a road trip to remember.

The quiet bush setting dotted with little blue cabins, the play spaces to run around in and the friendly, sometimes curious wildlife,  brought us all together as a happy and excited group of campers.

Many of us were challenged to overcome our fear of heights, leaving home, being away from parents and sleeping in the dark. We all achieved things we didn’t think we could, like handling snakes and climbing with harnesses. We made our beds, served up meals, worked as a team, encouraged each other and shared our time, skills and adventures with each other.

The teachers were so proud of us and the way we represented our school. What a challenge. What a fantastic experience for us all!

Yr 5/6F Report

Student Leaders Night by Maggie Carmichael & Claudia Phillips

At the start of the year we had an inspiring Student Leaders Congress with people such as Sarah Wall, a former netball player for the GWS Giants, Ben the Bandit, who was born with no arms and Matt Bowtell, who helps people like Ben and makes prosthetic limbs. The Leaders Congress is a day to come up with an idea to improve something in your school. At the end of the Congress they gave us a task for the year, it was to make our school environment a better and healthier place.

On Monday 9th September, all the student leaders at St Patrick’s went to the Lighthouse Theatre for a Leader's night. We showed a video of how we went with the task set at the beginning of the year.  We used our video of our Wellbeing Day, it showed what the day looked like and the activities we did. The activities included: yoga, just dance, outdoor games, reading in the Library and fitness activities such as boxing and weight lifting. We also launched a book swap.

All the primary schools in the district were there, as well as the 4 Warrnambool secondary schools, Emmanuel, Brauer, Kings and Warrnambool College. Each school received a certificate of appreciation for helping out their school community and making the world a better place.

Lunch Order Containers

When ordering your child's lunch online, you still need to send a container to school for the order to be put in. St Pat's is a rubbish free school and therefore all orders need to be in a reusable container.

Please also ensure that all lunch bags or containers are clearly marked with your child's class and name.
