We Acknowledge the Gunditjmara people, the Traditional Owners of the land on which we are gathered today.
We respect and honour Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Elders, past, present and future. We acknowledge their stories, traditions and living cultures on this land and commit to building a brighter future together.
Dear Parents and Carers,
As we reach the mid point of the term it's a good time to reflect on our progress and establish goals for the rest of the term ahead. Term 3 is well regarded as the most important term in relation to learning achievements. It is equally as important to pay attention to our physical and mental wellbeing. We know that both of these factors strongly influence learning capacity.
A reminder that the DOBCEL Board have provided schools with a Circuit Breaker 4 day weekend this week. Parents received a letter about this at the end of last term and the closure dates have been on our newsletter since the beginning of term 3. Therefore, there is no school this Friday or next Monday. I hope the children and staff return full of energy to make the most of the rest of the term.
This week Celina Brown informed me that she and her husband will be relocating to Ballarat at the end of this term. Celina has worked at St. Patrick's as our Library technician for 23 years. We will miss her enthusiastic love for books and her beautiful singing with the children when they visited the library.
Kind regards,
Olga Lyons, Principal
