Dear Parents and Carers,
Harmony Day
This Friday, we are celebrating Harmony Week by inviting our students to wear orange (or red if there is nothing orange in their wardrobe). Classes will participate in activities that promote tolerance, acceptance and diversity. There is no need for students to bring money for this event.
Voluntary Contributions
Each year, parents are invited to make a small contribution towards the many resources and programs students have access to at school. During the last P&C meeting it was decided that the cost of our voluntary contributions remain unchanged at $35 per student or $60 per family. Payment can be made online using the ‘Make a Payment’ tab on our website or money can be sent in an envelope and placed in the money collection box located in the office waiting room.
Parent/Teacher Interviews
A reminder that parent/teacher interviews will be held next week for students in Years 1-6. Bookings can be made by clicking on the following link https://www.schoolinterviews.com.au/code/x8r5u, by scanning the QR code in this newsletter or by visiting www.schoolinterviews.com.au and entering the code x8r5u. If you experience difficulties booking online or need to make an appointment outside the booking sessions, please contact your child’s teacher.
Leisure Sports
Our Primary students thoroughly enjoyed their first Leisure Sports session last Friday. Each teacher agreed that behaviour was outstanding, and every student participated in the activities enthusiastically. Hopefully, the weather will be nice to us again for their second session this Friday.
Canteen Help Needed
Now that restrictions are easing and there is some normality returning to school life, we’re hopeful that we can resume our canteen in a limited capacity in Term 2. Today, students received a flyer requesting anyone who may be able to assist to make contact via a slip that can be returned to the school. Alternatively you can email the P&C at tomerongpandc@gmail.com.
Easter Hat Parade
We're all excited that our Easter Hat Parade can go ahead and will commence at 2:10pm on Thursday 7 April (Week 11). Students will be making their hats in class and teachers are gratefully accepting any donations of art supplies for the students to use. We're also grateful for any donations of eggs or Easter goodies to form our raffle prize which will be drawn at the conclusion of the parade. Don't forget to keep selling tickets to our raffle!
Parents are welcome to attend our parade!
Have a great week,
Rod White
