The 2/3 class have been writing narratives this week. Here is a sample:
THE WOLF AND THE BEE (Christine M)
One day a pack of wolves woke up and the alpha told her sister there was a swarm of bees and go knock it down. The wolf did what she was told and knocked the hive down, and a bee about the same age as her, chased her with his stinger out ready to sting the wolf.
The bee chased the wolf all over the forest. When she was fed up of running, the wolf jumped out in front and said: “I knocked your hive down because you keep stinging my pack whenever we walk past. We are not trying to hurt you.” The bee said we can be friends and the wolf agreed. So they became friends.
THE LONELY TIGER (Mirabelle H)
One afternoon a little tiger woke up and he was very, very lonely. So he got up and started looking for a kind friend. But he never found one. Later that day he was walking along the Lonely River and he decided that he really, really wanted a friend.
He saw a little cottage so he walked towards it. The tiger saw a sign. It said “Bears.’ He walked in and Mummy Bear opened the door. The tiger talked, and Mummy Bear slammed the door. Then Baby Bear opened the door and they became lovely friends.
THE PEANUTS OF TERROR (Jarvis G)
One day at school it was 10:30 and they were doing writing. Half an hour until lunch. A packet of peanuts was asleep and the peanuts packet colour was red. A cucumber was also in the lunchbox and its favourite colour was red too. The cucumber was jealous and tore the bag open and hopped in. The peanuts woke up and they saw the cucumber in the packet and said: “You took our packet and we want it back!”
The cucumber replied: “Zzzzz.” He was asleep. The peanuts thought here’s our chance to take it. Then the bell rang. James, the owner of the lunchbox, opened it up and ate the peanuts and cucumber.
